SNC ski team travelled to Mammoth Mountain to compete in Regionals, before heading to Lake Placid, New York to defend the National
Championship title. There was no question which school was dominating during the weekend in Mammoth Mountain.
First race was Giant Slalom; Jaka Jazbec (junior) took an impressive victory over teammate Finlay Neeson (freshmen) who placed second and Cannon O’Brien (sophomore) on third spot. Girls race was yet another easy win for SNC, Emilie Lamoureux (junior) raced to the victory in front of Henriette Haug (freshmen) and Marie Noichl (freshmen).
The next event was Slalom; Finlay Neeson, who has been winning multiple slalom races during the season, was no surprise to win the event. Second place belonged to Cannon O’Brien, who has also been showing good results during the season, and third spot went to Elias Stuerz (freshmen) who joined the Eagle pack recently. On girls side, slalom specialist Stina Sollander took a victory over her teammates. Melissa Daniels, a local from Tahoe placed second Tea Palic third.
The team definitely looks ready to go and kick some ass at Lake Placid next week!
